My eyesight is going...
Dan was at the Clubhouse early to meet his buddies for a morning of golf when they called to say they weren't coming. He sat on one of the benches, having planned on spending the morning golfing, he now had nothing to do.

Fred was walking by and noticed the normally happy Dan seemed so dejected, " why aren't you out playing?"

"The guys had something come up and couldn't make it," he replied.

"I know you love to play, you can always play by yourself." Fred was still trying to cheer him up.

Dan was even more dejected. "As I've gotten older, I'm 82, my eyesight has gone. I don't have a problem hitting the ball and I can see to putt on the greens. I just can't see the ball on the fairway after a drive. The guys have always watched for me so I can still play.

"Well I've still got 20/20 vision. I don't play anymore, but I'll go with you to spot the ball."

So they took of for the first hole. Dan, true to his word, put the ball right down the middle of the fairway. "Did you see where it went?"

"Right down the middle," Fred replied. "You sure got hold of that one."

They jumped in the cart and took off down the path. After they had traveled a good distance, Dan asked "you did see where it landed didn't you Fred?"

"I saw it. I just can't remember."
